GRANDMA GRACE'S GINGER CREAMS 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 c. cold coffee
2 tsp. baking soda, in coffee
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
6 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. molasses

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Add molasses. Alternate adding spices and flour with the coffee and vanilla. Spread into a cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes. While still warm, ice with vanilla frosting.
