SAUCEPAN INDIANS | |
An easy-to-make Rich Brownie. 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine 2 (1 oz. ea.) sq. unsweetened chocolate 1 cup sugar 1 cup broken pecans 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt margarine and chocolate in a saucepan. Remove from heat. Add all ingredients except eggs. Blend well. Add eggs and beat well. Pour into greased 9x9-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Be careful not to burn. Cool. Cut into squares. Makes 16 squares. BROWNIE RING VARIATION: Grease bottom of an 9-inch ring mold pan. Pour Saucepan Indians batter into pan. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes. Cool in pan. Remove carefully. At serving time fill center with your favorite ice cream. |
