PICKLED BEETS 
3/4 c. sguar
3/4 c. water
1 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. mixed pickling spice
3-4 c. cooked beets

Boil together sugar, water, vinegar and pickling spice. Cook for 2 minutes. Por over 3-4 cups cooked, sliced beets. Let stand overnight.
