APPLE COFFEECAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1 3/4 c. flour + 2 tbsp.
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
4 c. peeled, sliced apples
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix apples, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and lemon juice and cinnamon together; let set.

Combine softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, butter, eggs and almond extract. Mix well.

Combine 1 3/4 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Blend in cheese mixture alternating with milk. Pour into greased, floured 9x13 pan.

Arrange apple slices on coffeecake mixture. Pour juice from apples over all. Bake 50-60 minutes, 350 degree oven, or until wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool slightly. Serve warm.
