FLO'S BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
5 lbs. cucumbers
1/2 lb. onions
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. turmeric seed
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. celery seed

Slice cucumbers and onions, mix and add 1/4 cup salt. Cover with ice and let stand 3 hours. Drain. Add syrup and heat to boiling point. Put into jars and seal. Makes 6 pints.
