CONEY ISLAND TOPPING 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion, divided
2/3 c. prepared barbecue sauce

Cook ground beef and 1/2 cup onion in frying pan over medium high heat until beef loses its pink color, stirring frequently. Pour off drippings. Stir in barbecue sauce and cook until slightly thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Top each frankfurter with an equal amount of barbecue beef sauce; sprinkle with an equal amount of the remaining onion. Makes enough topping for 8 to 10 servings.
