CRANBERRY FRUIT NUT BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. walnuts

Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and peel into bowl. Cut in shortening. Add juice; mix in egg. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Pour into greased 9"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pan. Let loaf stand at least 8 hours before serving.
