BERYL'S MUM'S SCONES | |
6 oz. self-rising flour 1 tbsp. sugar Dried dates or other fruits (optional) 2 oz. butter 1 egg Milk Mix flour, butter, sugar and fruit until batter is sticky. Roll out, cut with round pastry cutter. Arrange on lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush the tops with milk. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Makes 6. |
