1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs, well beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. broken pecans
Pinch of salt

Add sugar to soft butter and cream well. Add eggs and beat until well mixed. Sift the soda with the flour and add gradually to the mixture. Blend well. Add chopped nuts. Drop on buttered cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
