POTATO PONE 
6 to 8 large sweet potatoes
1 tbsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp allspice
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon peel, grated
4 oz evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
1 1/2 sticks butter
4 oz olive oil

Wash potatoes. Remove spots. Do not peel. Grate potatoes. Add all other ingredients. Heat oil and butter; add potato mixture. Make sure it does not stick. The pone will be finished when it turns almost brown in color. Transfer to two 9 inch pie pans. Let cool. Slice.
