HARVEST APPLE PIE 
1 (2 crust) pie recipe
6-8 med. apples
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. maple syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. melted butter

Peel and core apples, dice or slice and arrange in crust. Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, salt and sugar. Mix together and sprinkle over top of apples. Melt butter, add maple syrup and pour over apples in pie crust. Put top pastry one, seal edges and flute. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 400 degrees and continue baking another 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and spread with topping. Return to oven for 10 minutes or until bubbly. Place large pan under pie pan to catch any topping that may run off.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. chopped nuts
3 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. soft butter

Combine all ingredients together well and spread in top of pie at proper time according to above recipe.
