APPLE HARVEST CAKE 
1 1/4 cups Pillsbury best all-purpose, unbleached or self-rising flour
1 cup Pillsbury best whole-wheat flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 cups (2 med.) peeled, finely chopped apples
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325°F. Generously grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.

In large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, baking soda, oil, vanilla and egg with 1 cup apples; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in remaining apples and nuts. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 325°F for 50-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool upright in pan 15 minutes; turn onto serving plate. Cool.

GLAZE:

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 tbsp. milk

In small bowl, blend glaze ingredients until smooth; spoon over cake.

Makes 16 servings.
