3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins, optional
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop dough from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
