CONGO BARS 
2 sticks butter
1 box brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 c. self-rising flour
16 oz. chocolate chips, semi-sweet
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and blend in flour. Add pecans, vanilla and chocolate chips. Mix well. Batter will be thick. Pour into 13 x 9 inch greased pan. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
