SWISS GRATIN SAVOYARD 
1 clove garlic, halved
4 tbsp. butter
2 lbs. potatoes, sliced
Pepper & salt
1 1/2 c. Swiss cheese
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) beef broth

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Rub 1 1/2 quart baking dish with garlic half. (Dice remaining half and set aside.) Grease dish with 2 tablespoons butter. Dry potatoes on towel. Combine them with 1 cup cheese, remaining diced garlic, salt and pepper. Bring broth to boiling and pour over potatoes. Top with remaining cheese and butter. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. 4 to 6 servings.
