SOUTHERN CORN STICKS 
1 1/2 c. white corn meal
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
2 tbsp. oil

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the buttermilk and egg. Add oil. Grease a cornstick pan and heat it. Pour batter into hot pan and bake 20-25 minutes at 450 degrees. This batter can also be baked in square pans.
