WHOLE TOMATO SOUP 
2 can cooked tomatoes (pulp and juice, or cook fresh tomatoes 10 min.,
or use just tomato juice)
1 tsp. sugar
2 c. milk
Salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. butter (optional)

In a saucepan, bring tomatoes to a boil. Stir well to break up tomatoes. Add the soda and then the milk, stirring constantly. Do not allow to boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add butter, if desired. Serves 4.
