CLASSIC POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk

Cream together butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla. Add 1 egg at a time, mix after each. Add alternately milk, then mixture of baking powder and flour in 1/4's. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, 15 minutes. Do not preheat oven. Bake in well greased and floured bundt pan or angel food cake pan. Turn off oven, but leave cake in with door crackers for 30 minutes. Cool in pan with tea towel on top of cake before removing from pan.
