YANKEE DOUGHNUTS 
2 c. Bisquick baking mix
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Heat fat or oil 3-4 inches deep to 375 degrees in deep fat fryer.

Mix all ingredients until smooth. Gently smooth dough into a ball on floured cloth-covered board, knead 8-10 times.

Roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Drop rings and round centers into hot fat.

Fry 1/2 minute on each side, drain and spread tops with melted semi- sweet chocolate or confectioners sugar.
