ARNOLD'S DOUGHNUT PUFFS 
Oil for deep-fat frying
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar, divided
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. Martha White biscuit mix
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 c. water

Preheat oil in deep-fat fryer to 350 degrees or heat in 1 1/4 inches oil in large skillet. Combine 3/4 cups sugar and cinnamon in paper bag, set aside. Combine baking mix, egg, water and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar in bowl; beat until smooth. Drop batter by teaspoon into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown, turning to brown evenly. Remove puffs with slotted spoon. Drop into bag containing sugar and cinnamon. Shake to coat puffs. Serve warm.
