CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 med. sweet potatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. water
1 c. brown sugar

Cook potatoes until soft, but not mushy. Remove skins and cut in half lengthwise. Melt the butter and sugar in skillet and add the water. Bring to a boil and then add sweet potatoes. Cook slowly until liquid is thick and the potatoes are brown. Serves 6.
