SNICKER BARS 
12 oz. milk chocolate chips
2 tbsp. shortening
5 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 pkg (10 oz.) caramels
1 lb. blanched peanuts

Melt chocolate chips and shortening. Pour 1/2 chocolate mixture into 8 x 8 pan. Refrigerate 15 minutes. Melt butter, water, caramels, and then add peanuts into melted caramels. Pour over chocolate mixture in pan. Wait 15 minutes and then pour remaining chocolate mixture over the top.
