SPANISH BEANS 
1 bag small red kidney beans
2 tbsp. sofrito
1 pkg. Sazon (con cilantro y achiote)
1 tbsp. adabo
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 jar green olives, stuffed with pimento
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, diced
1 med. potato peeled and chopped

Soak beans in water in covered saucepan overnight; rinse. Return to saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and then simmer. Add sofrito, sazon, adabo, and tomato sauce. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 2 hours.

Add water as necessary. Add garlic, onion, olives, and potato. Continue simmering and adding water until beans are soft and potatoes and onion are cooked. Serve with white rice.
