SMOTHERED RABBIT 
1 rabbit
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. fat
2 onions, sliced
1 c. red wine or sour cream

Cut rabbit in serving pieces and roll in flour. Brown meat in fat. Add onion and wine. Cook over high flame until liquid comes to a rolling boil. Reduce heat and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
