ALLYSON'S BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (overripe works best) 2 large eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine in medium bowl flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, cream sugar and butter. Beat in bananas, eggs and vanilla. Slowly add in dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips. Make small balls, about 1 1/2-inches and place onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325°F for 13 to 18 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
