PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. persimmon pulp

Drop by spoon and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Can use apple concentrate in place of sugar.

In place of persimmon pulp, use grated carrots for carrot cookies; applesauce for cookies, too.

Can be made into breads, too.
