BEEF AND CHICKEN CHOWDER 
1 lb. beef for soup
3 1/2 lbs. chicken parts
4-5 carrots, cut into sm. pieces
4-5 stalks celery, cut into sm. pieces
1 qt. tomatoes
1 can string beans, cut
1 can whole kernel corn
1 very sm. head cabbage
4-5 onions
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil chicken and beef, bone and cut into small pieces, return to broth. Add vegetables. Add about 8 quarts water for about 2-3 hours. Add water, if necessary and stir occasionally.
