ONE HOUR HOT ROLLS 
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
4 c. flour
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg

Dissolve yeast in water, add sugar, salt, shortening, 2 cups flour and egg. Mix well and add 2 cups flour, let rise 30 minutes in a bowl. Make into rolls, let rise another 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
