BROCCOLI AND HAM SOUP 
1 med. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. diced fully cooked ham (10 oz.)
2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
2 c. chopped fresh broccoli or frozen chopped broccoli
1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. elbow macaroni
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Grated Parmesan cheese

In 3 quart casserole combine onion, garlic, and butter. Microwave at HIGH for 3 minutes until onion is tender. Stir in ham, broth, broccoli, undrained tomatoes, water, macaroni, and nutmeg. Cover and cook at HIGH for 15 minutes until boiling, stirring once to break up broccoli. Cook at MEDIUM or 50% for 8 minutes until broccoli and macaroni are tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle individual servings with Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
