CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE | |
2 sticks butter, room temp. 1 stick butter, room temp. 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 3 c. sugar Pinch of salt 2 tsp. vanilla 6 lg. eggs 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour Cream together butter, butter, cream cheese and sugar. Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add salt and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in flour. Spoon batter into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese 1 stick butter, softened 1 box (1 lb.) confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and vanilla, blend well. |
