VEGETABLE BEEF BARLEY SOUP 
2 lb. boneless beef cubes, cut in 1-inch cubes
2 tbsp. oil
6 c. water
1 (28 oz.) can cut-up tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables
5 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 tsp. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 bay leaves
Dash of sage
1/3 c. barley

Brown beef in oil; drain fat. Add all other ingredients and simmer until tender. Remove and discard bay leaves before serving. Makes 8 servings.
