VEGETABLE BEEF BARLEY SOUP 
1 lg. beef marrow bone
2 lg. cans V-8 juice
1 headful barley, uncooked
1 sm. pkg. mixed vegetables
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. butter

Saute onion in butter until golden brown. Mix all ingredients into large crock pot and simmer 6-8 hours.
