ORIENTAL CHICKEN 
2 tbsp. oil
1 frying chicken, cut up or use breasts & thighs
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 lg. green onion, chopped
1 lg. clove garlic, minced
1 can fancy Chinese vegetables, drained
1/4 tsp. ginger

Heat oil in skillet. Add chicken pieces and brown on both sides. Pour off the oil; add soy sauce, water, ginger, sugar, onion and garlic. Cook uncovered over low heat, turning a few times for 30 minutes. Push chicken aside and add vegetables, cook about 5 minutes longer. Serve over fluffy rice.
