CHICKEN CHOW MEIN 
1 chicken
1 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. chopped onions
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
2 c. chicken broth
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 (3 oz.) cans sliced mushrooms, drained (reserve 1/4 c. liquid)
1 (16 oz.) can Chinese vegetables, drained
2 tbsp. brown gravy sauce (molasses type)
3 c. chow mein noodles
1 sm. green pepper
2 oz. pimentos, chopped and diced

Cook chicken until tender in just enough water to cover. Bone and skin and set aside.

In broth, add celery, onions, soy sauce, glutamate, and green pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Blend cornstarch and reserved mushroom liquid. Gradually stir into vegetable mixture. Add mushrooms, Chinese vegetables, pimento, brown gravy sauce and chicken. Heat to boil. Stirring constantly, boil for 1 minute. Serve over noodles.
