FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. light Karo
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp. dry strawberry Jello
2 pts. fresh ripe strawberries
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Cook the first five ingredients until a clear glaze stage is reached. Remove from stove, add the dry Jello and stir well. Cool slightly. Pour over the fresh berries. Pour into a baked pie shell. I often arrange berries in baked pie shell and then pour the glaze over the berries. Cool and place in refrigerator. Chill well. Top with whipped cream. You can substitute raspberries and other fruits.
