Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Salt and pepper the chops, ribs, pork steaks or roast. Put in pan and brown in oven (10 to 15 minutes) not covered. Meanwhile, heat drained sauerkraut in saucepan - mix kraut with 2 coarsely chopped onions and 1 or 2 cloves minced garlic.
Peel 3 to 4 potatoes, cut in 4ths. After meat is browned, turn oven to 200 degrees. Cover meat with kraut mixture and lay potatoes in as well. Cover tightly with foil and cook 8 hours at 200 degrees. Note: Can be cooked as longs as 24 hours.
