HAMBURGER CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion
1/2 c. uncooked rice
Salt & pepper to taste
1 can tomato soup
1 c. water
1/4 c. grated cheese
1/2 lg. head cabbage, cut up

Brown ground beef and onion, drain off fat. Add rice, salt and pepper to meat. Put cut cabbage into 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour meat mixture over cabbage. Heat to boiling the tomato soup and water and pour over mixture in pan. Sprinkle grated cheese on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

Oh my word this turned out SO delicious! I've made another similar recipe but this one is by far the best! It's easy, it's simple ingredients and makes a nice 13 x 9 pan full. Thank you so much!

Just made this and it is easy and looks delicious! I did use about a 1/2 cup grated cheese to finish a package, but everything else according to the recipe. Taking to a covered dish so will post comments later.

Though the taste is great, my ground beef over browned on top and was hard and unattractive. Wondering if covering with foil to bake or mixing the beef in with the cabbage would give better results. Also at 1 1/2 hours, my cabbage was overcooked. Maybe I chopped it too fine.
