HOMEMADE APPLE BUTTER | |
1 gallon apples, measured after cooked 2 1/2 quarts sugar Cinnamon, to taste Peel apples, diced into small pieces. Cook apples until they are thick. Mash if necessary. Measure a gallon, add sugar. Enough cinnamon until it tastes to your taste. The apple butter may be colored with a few drops of beet juice if a slightly red color is desired. Should make about 8 pints. |
