FROSTED DROP COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Sift together dry ingredients; add alternately with sour cream. Stir in nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 10-12 minutes. Frost with butter icing.

BUTTER ICING:

Heat and stir 6 tablespoons butter in saucepan over low heat until golden brown. Remove from heat, beat in 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add enough hot water until of spreading consistency.
