OVEN BARBEQUED SPARERIBS 
4 lbs. pork spare ribs
1 tbsp. butter or marg.
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. ketchup
1/3 c. chili sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash bottled hot pepper sauce
3 thin lemon slices

Cut ribs in serving size pieces. In large saucepan, cover ribs with salted water. Cover and simmer until nearly tender, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile in saucepan melt butter; add garlic and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Drain ribs; place in shallow baking pan. Pour boiling sauce over ribs. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, basting often with sauce. Makes 4 servings.
