CHEESE GRITS 
3 c. water
3/4 c. Aunt Jemima White Grits (use quick grits)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
Dash of pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking dish. Prepare grits (quick grits).

Stir grits and salt slowly into briskly boiling water. Reduce heat and cover with lid. Cook 5 to 10 minutes, stirring often. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into prepared dish. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
