OLD FASHIONED APPLE CRUMB PIE | |
2/3 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 4 c. peeled, cored & sliced apples 1 Pet-Ritz deep dish pie crust shell 1/2 c. flour 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar La Creme whipped topping with real cream Preheat oven and baking sheet to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well. Add apple slices and mix until apples are evenly coated; spoon into pie shell. For crumb topping, in a small bowl, combine flour, butter and brown sugar until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apples. Place pie on baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Allow to cool 1 hour before serving. Top with La Creme. Makes 1 (9 inch) pie. |
