DATE NUT BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. coarsely chopped dates
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Coconut

In skillet melt butter. Then add sugar, egg and dates. Stir over medium heat with a wooden spoon until mixture comes to a boil, about 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla.

With wet hands roll a teaspoonful of the mixture into a ball. Then roll in shredded coconut. Place on wax paper.
