COUNTRY CABBAGE | |
4 slice of bacon 1 1/2 lb. shredded cabbage 1 c. chopped green pepper 1 med. onion 1 c. steamed and sliced okra 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove bacon and crumble. Add the cabbage and green pepper to skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring until soft about 15 minutes. Add okra (make sure ends are removed), salt, and pepper. Cook covered for 20-34 minutes or until cooked through. |
