CINNAMON PICKLES 
2 gallons cucumber cubes (large cukes with seeds cut out) cover cucumbers with 1/2 cup pickling lime (at Long's Drug store in canning section) and enough water to cover. Soak 24 hours. Rinse well in clear water then soak 3 hours. Drain.

Make a mixture of 1 cup white vinegar, 1 ounce bottle red food coloring and enough water to cover.

Add cucumbers, simmer for 2 hours. Drain.

4 c. vinegar
8 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. red hot candies
6 to 10 sticks of cinnamon

Bring to boil turn off heat, let set for 3 days. Bring to boil again, then put in sterilized bottles and seal.

About 14 pints.
