“YEAST FREE PIZZA CRUST & HOMEMADE PIZZA” IS IN:

YEAST FREE PIZZA CRUST &
HOMEMADE PIZZA

CRUST:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil

PIZZA:

Tomato sauce
Ground pork or hamburger, browned
Chopped onion
1/2 tbsp. pizza seasoning*
Mushrooms
Shredded pizza cheese

Mix flour, salt, baking powder and water. Knead on floured counter just until workable and spreadable, about 2 minutes. Put on pizza pan. With fingers, spread vegetable oil on crust (helps so tomato sauce won't soak into crust) then spread with tomato sauce and top with the meat of your choice. Sprinkle with pizza seasoning and top with mushrooms and cheese.

Bake at 425°F for 20 minutes.

Note: Pizza seasoning can be purchased at the supermarket. It has all of the dried spices together and you just sprinkle it on.

Variation: Roll the dough out thinly and use to make stuffed "Hot Pockets", calzones or turnovers. Fill with your favorite filling (a pizza topping with cheese and chopped pepperoni is my favorite!).

You should have used at least 2 tablespoons of the olive oil in the crust. The oil is what keeps it from being like hardtack. You need it even more because there is no yeast in this.

I made this for my folks since I'm a fruitarian. Turned out awesome. I used olive oil, italian seasoning, and just regular spaghetti sauce (i could of used fresh squished tomaters).

Don't mash the dough out too thick though or it won't cook through, especially if u put a lot of watery things on top. U could even heat the crust up for 5 minutes or so before u put the stuff on it (coat it in olive oil).

Really u don't even have to use cheese, ..pineapples, bananas, and even apples are good. Haven't tried grapes I'm sure that's excellent as well.

This recipe is GREAT!! I wanted to make a quick lunch pizza with my 2 year old daughter and this was perfect. The dough is so yummy, I may not ever make a yeast dough again. She loved helping me with this, especially kneading the dough! I followed the recipe to a T and it turned out perfect...I did not need to change it at all. I am printing this and keeping it forever! :)

Got up this morning with my heart set on scrambled eggs on toast. NO BREAD! Then I remembered I'd bookmarked this recipe about a year ago when I discovered I was yeast sensitive and made it as pizza. This morning, I made it with granary flour & spelt mixture, gave it a little extra baking soda and a little less water, rolled it out like pastry, pricked it all over, and chucked it in the oven - 20 mins later I had eggs on freshly made crusty flatbread. The remainder was also perfect with marmalade :)

Try adding onion cheese to it, easier than chopping an onion.

Great crust! I'll never buy that sticky stuff they sell in the grocery store again. Ummm... red meat has been shown to promote cancer (well, actually all meat that has been chared) think twice about grilling out and about well done meats. Also, it's really silly to say that your immune system won't work properly without meat in your diet. I have a three year old, will be four at the end of the month... he was breast fed as an infant and went to veggies... and he's never been sick... never... also, he goes to pre-school and visits a nursing home thee times a week... so it's not like he lives in a bubble. He's never every had meat... not even one time! I think that's a high functioning immune system. Just saying. If you want to eat meat, that's your unhealthy choice. Don't berate parents who chose to do good things for their children by giving them tons of fruit veggies and a moderation of fats and sugars all based on a great whole grain base. Mmmmmm... okay, white pizza dough was a splurge!

I am only thirteen and im not the best cook but this turned out absolutely wonderful. I made my own topping but the crust was fantastic. I even made a stuffed crust which made it even better. I didnt know what baking powder was so I didnt put it in. lol, but I probably wouldn't of been able to taste the difference anyway... In conclusion, GREAT RECIPE :)

I doubled the recipe. I used half the salt and added a cup of butter to give crust a buttery flavor. I cut the butter into flour mixture before adding water. I homemade the sauce by placing canned diced tomatoes, chicken bullion, Parmesan Cheese, Italian seasoning, and Rosemary,a pinch of Thyme, and sugar. I placed mozzarella cheese mixed with cheddar cheese. I topped it with Canadian bacon, canned pineapple tidbits and Jalapeņos.
