RUM BALLS 
3 c. vanilla wafers, crushed fine
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. white syrup
1 1/2 c. nutmeats, chopped fine
6 tbsp. Bacardi rum
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Put all ingredients into a large bowl and work together with hands until stiff or well mixed. Shape into 1 inch balls and put on wax papered pan to dry for several hours or overnight. Then roll in powdered sugar or dip in the following mixture:

Melt in double boiler: 3 1/2 tbsp. paraffin, melted

Use a spoon to dip the candies and only dip one at a time.
