Lithuanian Apple Crumb Cake

This recipe is time consuming, but worth it! I shredded the apples with the food processor blade (after peeling), using Gala apples. I also used lemon juice AND cinnamon. I chose to line the jelly roll pan with parchment paper before spreading the streusel dough on the bottom, for ease in cutting and serving afterward. The remaining streusel will not completely cover the apples. Serve the cooled "cake" with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
