5 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
3 tsp. lemon juice

In a large kettle cook ingredients until thickens. Pack apples into sterilized jars, then pour apple pie mix on top of apples; seal while hot. Set jars of apple mix in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
