EASY APPLE DUMPLINGS USING
CRESCENT ROLLS

1 can refrigerator Crescent rolls (Pillsbury)
1 apple
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
dash of cinnamon
1 (12 oz.) can Mountain Dew (Sprite or 7up works too)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Peel, cut and core apple. Set aside.

Heat butter, sugars and cinnamon until melted. Unroll Crescent rolls and place a piece of apple inside, then roll up. Place apple filled Crescent rolls in an 8x8-inch casserole dish. Pour butter mixture over the top of the rolls. Now, pour can of Mountain Dew (or other soda) over rolls.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes or until the tops of rolls are browned.

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

P.S. I use the leftover apple sauce in pan as a topping for the ice cream. Yum!
